So it’s time again for another Mr. Baby update….
He weighs…..umm…well I don’t exactly know. Slacking mommy?
Nope! We haven’t gone to the pediatrican in over a month!! That would be
longest he has gone without seeing a doctor in his whole entire life. We did
have a follow up with his physiatrist last week. Everything looks good. We go
back in 6months and as long as he still looks ok he’ll be discharged. So we will have to do monthly OT until then
but that’s ok.
So what did last month look like? Lots of wonderful,
heartmelting smiles and even an occasional laugh. Soo much fun. There’s nothing
better than walking through the door after a long 12 hour shift and he sees me
and just gives me this big grin. However I have lost my spot at the top of Eli’s
most favorite person list. He just is OBSESSED with his Dada right now. To the
point where if he hears his dada talking or sees him he stops what hes doing
and stares and smiles at him and will say dadada, even in his sleep. He has a similar
love for his Grandpa and Grampy. Don’t get me wrong its not like he hates the
ladies in his life. It’s just right now hes all about the guys.
So he’s working on sitting up. He can do about 9 seconds on
his own. He can roll from his belly to his back and just yesterday got down
back to belly. He had to show off for his Omie. I missed it L
He’s starting solid foods. We’ve gotten banana, sweet
potato, and carrots down. I don’t really think there is going to be anything
that he won’t like. As long as you are willing to feed him, he’s willing to
eat.
Favorite thing to do. Jump in his bouncer. Oh my gosh he
loves that thing. Even when you hold him on your lap he wants to bounce. He
still loves his bath, he even is good with a shower.
So what have we been up too….He’s had multiple trips up to
Omie and Grandpa’s. Visits with Great Gram and Auntie. He’s a big boy and will go in the nursery at
church with the other kids (mom’s still getting used to that one). We went up
to Omie’s to celebrate Uncle Fish’s birthday. Had a little bit of a cold and
dealt with it fine. Had a baby play date with Baby Ellie. Attended Kiwi’s
second bridal shower, where he got to meet a bunch of family friends. He went on a hike and went swimming, and went
to his first wedding.
